BATTLES BATTLE

Pitchfork gave the new Battle's album a 9.1 and it is well deserved. But, I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that they will be playing at, yes, THE PITCHFORK MUSIC FESTIVAL.

Look at this:

BATTLES, MIRRORED....9.1

DEERHUNTER, CRYPTOGRAMS....8.9

OF MONTREAL, HISSING FAUNA....8.7

CLIPSE, HELL HATH NO FURY....9.1

These are hugh scores that are reserved for the best of the year. I do think these are the best of the year in my book....but is Pitchfork just giving scores to who comes to their festival or are they just that good at getting the best of the best. Either way, I'll be there.
